Student Services

The student services department provides counseling and advising, safety, health, and wellness information and support for DCECHS students. The students services department has one full-time faculty member who provide counseling services (above), and several staff members who are shared among other schools. Miles Catlett

School Counselor

Miles Catlett is the school counselor and has been working at the Early College since 2010. He received his master's degree in school counseling from Salem College, and is also a certified career development coordinator. He has been working with students since 2003. Mr. Catlett works hard to provide work-focused lessons and counseling to students who need that extra bit of help in being successful at school and making decisions.

I started working for Davie County Schools April 4, 2016. I am at Davie County High School on Monday - Friday.  I was raised in Davie County and graduated from Davie County High School in 1996. After high school I attended ForsythTechnical Community College and earned my Associates Degree of Nursing. I began working as an Oncology Nurse at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. I gained 15 years of experience in the Inpatient setting, Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, and the Outpatient Clinic setting. I am married to a wonderful husband and we have 2 beautiful children. While working and raising our family, I went back to school and earned my BSN from Chamberlain College of Nursing.

Etta Brooke Beauchamp

Etta Brooke Beauchamp, Support Specialist

Support Specialist

Etta Brooke Beauchamp is a member of the Davie County Early College High School class of 2015. Her personal experience as a student gives her the ability to relate to the many unique challenges Early College students face and allows her to help guide them. As Support Specialist, Mrs. Beauchamp assists with Freshmen Seminar, facilitates Learning Lab, and helps out in various ways.
