January 28- Early College application released to students
January 28 and 29- Information session for NDMS, SDMS, and WEMS from 9:50 a.m. to 10:20 a.m. online
January 28- Information session for DCS Virtual 8th grade students at 2 p.m.
February 4- Information session for parents at 3 p.m. online
February 5- Information session for parents at 8 a.m. online
February 25- Deadline for application
STEP 1: Fill out the student application
DCECHS application window opens Thursday, January 28th, 2021 and applications due Friday, March 5th. Tell your Guidance Counselor you are interested. You will then be added to the DCECHS Application Canvas Course. Applications and other requirements are available through our CANVAS page.
STEP 2: You should receive an email confirmation with your application attached. * If you do not receive email confirmation please contact John Marshall at firstname.lastname@example.org or Angela Griffey at email@example.com as soon as possible.
The last page of that document will contain two feedback forms populated with the two teachers you have chosen through the application. This will be your math and language arts teachers in your school. The purpose of this feedback form is to get first-hand information from teachers about your personal character, work ethic and academic ability in the classroom. This information will be used to help the committee make an informed decision on placement. You need TWO teacher recommendations (ELA and MATH) and you need to upload one ELA work sample and one MATH work sample as a Canvas assignment. You can also post questions on our Discussion Board! Students or Teachers will answer you!
STEP 3: Teacher Feedback: The window for teachers to provide feedback is February 4 - March 12 , 2021
STEP 4: *DCECHS Final invitations will be sent out by April 5, 2021
STEP 5: Student acceptance or decline of placement:
